Committed to Improving the State of the World or Committed to Directing the state of the world
Our Liberal Government
Canadian political leaders who are members of the WEF are many, are members of different parties and are people with power.
Based upon comments by Klaus Schwab, founder of the WEF, our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is the golden boy of the WEF. So, the question is, “Is he our man or theirs?”. For that matter , Where does the loyalty and primary interest of any of the WEF members who walk the halls of power in Canada lay? With the best interests of Canadians or with the guidelines and policies of the WEF?. Trudeau isn’t alone in this elite club. His Language Minister -Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Trudeau appointed Senator Ratna Omidvar, Governor General Mary Simon, Dominic Barton, Chair Advisory Council on Economic Growth, Ailish Campbell, General Director at Finance Canada, Jenifer Blanke, Government’s Advisory Council on Economic Growth, Hugette Labelle, Advisory Board for Senate Appointments, Kevin Lynch, Clerk of Privy Council, Secretary to Cabinet, & More. And – Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister of Canada, and member of WEF Board of Trustees are all members.
The simple matter that so many of Canada’s political elites are members of the same international organization that produces policy direction without the input of Canadians. should be terrifying
That is a lot of powerful people with influence and authority who all have a common loyalty to an organization that isn’t Canadian, isn’t subject to Canadian law yet can influence every aspect of the lives of Canadians
The Appeal
When you sit in an auditorium filled with the very rich, the very famous, and the very powerful, and they all seem to be in agreement, does independent thought not get lost? Is it not tempting to agree and to be lead? Is there not a strong tendency to join and want to be a part of the common belief? Such is the risk and the threat of the WEF. Government policy makers who are more excited about looking good in Davos than they are about meeting the needs of Canadians
Argument for WEF
“The WEF brings people together for discussions,” Roland Paris, a professor and director of the University of Ottawa’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs told CTVNews.ca. “It may have pretensions as an organization that produces policy ideas, but it has little-to-no influence on government policy.”, says, “none of these concerns are legitimate.” And yet policies in the Netherlands and in Canada seem to come directly from the WEF playbook even though both policy initiatives have been broadly rejected by the populations of both countries.
Conservatives
Pierre Poilievre stated that his ministers will be banned from being a part of the World Economic Forum, “I have made it clear that my ministers in my government will be banned from participating in the World Economic Forum,” Poilievre, an Ontario MP, said to applause in a May 23 federal Conservative leadership campaign video. “Work for Canada! If you want to go to Davos, to that conference, make it a one-way ticket. But you can’t be part of our government and working for a policy agenda that is against the interests of our people.”Yet John Baird, Poilievre’s current National Campaign Co-Chair, is a member, as are Scott Brison, Jean Cherest, Stephen Harper, Jason Kenney, Rona Ambrose, Michelle Rempel Garner, James Moore, Bill Morneau, Blake Richards, and Peter Van Loan. Supposedly, all of these people would and should be banished from positions of power, including senate seats, in a Poilievre government unless they first distance themselves from the WEF.
